目前，你可以在Eclipse.org網站上下載到一個PDF文件：RCPApplication.pdf（5月31日發表的），收錄了大量Open Source和Commercial的RCP應用程序。其中，包括了我之前曾經提到過的RSSOwl （一個基于SWT的RSS Reader），IBM Workplace (Lotus的新一代客戶端），Eclipse Trader （一個基于RCP的實時股票分析軟件），jLibrary （一個基于RCP的Desktop Content Management），以及NASA (美國航天航空局)用于控制火星探路者和分析結果的NASA JPL。
日前，Martin Perez （jLibrary的作者）在自己的blog中給出了一些針對SWT做的custom widgets。而SWTPlus.com也發表了兩款widgets，可以下載使用。
隨著Eclipse 3.1的即將發布，以及3.1中對RCP更強大和簡單化的支持，基于RCP的應用將會越來越多。IBM alphaWorks日前也發表了一個SWT Data Binding，即將SWT應用和后臺的數據（EJB或者其他數據源）進行邦定（“It provides users with the ability to connect the visual SWT elements of the Java application so that they can access data from various data sources”），從而簡化使用SWT進行基于數據庫的開發。使用Eclipse Visual Editor 和這個新的數據邦定技術，可以預見到，SWT的開發將更加簡單（也許就像Visual Baisc或者Delphi那樣“所見即所得”了）。
